ITS is now offering a generative AI platform available to all active U-M faculty, staff, and students on the Ann Arbor, Flint, and Dearborn campuses and Michigan Medicine. These service offerings are private, secure, accessible, and equitable, and support everything from basic computer usage to advanced research and experimentation. When using generative AI tools, it is important to avoid entering sensitive information to protect privacy and ensure data security. These tools may not guarantee the confidentiality of the information shared. Please refer to the University of Michigan Safe Computing guidelines for AI tool use.

AI Detection Tools
Please be aware that these tools are imperfect, and currently, no software is able to detect AI-generated text with 100% certainty. AI detection tools can be used to identify situations where further inquiry into the use of AI-generated text may be needed. They should not be considered a definitive measure for cheating.
