Engineering Student Teams Resource Hub

Engineering Student Teams

Problem

There are many engineering student teams operating at the University of Michigan. All of these have training materials, safety guidance, and other resources for their members. However, these resources are often difficult to find, and often teams require similar resources, so each team having their own set creates redundancy.

Outcome/Impact

The Engineering Student Teams Resource Hub (ESTRH) is a Canvas-based course that brings together training materials, safety guidance, and operational resources for teams such as Formula SAE, Solar Car, and Electric Boat. It aggregates more than 850 curated resources, including 73 textbooks, 18 U-M courses, and over 7 GB of content, with contributions from student teams and partners like SAE, Texas Instruments, Altair, and Siemens. The hub is supported by a Maizey AI assistant that helps students quickly locate and apply relevant information to their work.
